At the Advanced Spinal Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Scot Sorum's combined use of whole body vibration, specific nutritional recommendations and the Pettibon Body weighting system, speed up the body's natural healing mechanisms.

Dr. Sorum is on the Board of Advisors for the Pettibon Institute and is also an accredited instructor for the Pettibon Institute as adjunct faculty through Palmer College of Chiropractic.

The Pettibon Institute is a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Burl R. Pettibon in 1981, dedicated to research and advancement of non-surgical spine and posture correction. The Pettibon Institute provides chiropractors with the latest research in spinal biomechanics & regenerative procedures along with pioneering advancements in restoration of normal spinal form and function as led by Dr. Burl R. Pettibon. Dr. Pettibon is widely considered the "Father of Spinal Bio-Mechanics."

Dr. Sorum  holds the highest level of certification, Intensive Level Certified, through the Chiropractic Leadership, Educational Advancement and Research (CLEAR) Institute. He has been caring for and specializing in the treatment of scoliosis patients for over 12 years.  

CLEAR Scoliosis Institute®

Dr. Sorum also holds a post doctorate certification in advanced treatment of whiplash and brain trauma, also know as Cervical Acceleration Deceleration Injury and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (CAD & MTBI, respectively) and forensic analysis of Motor Vehicle Crash’s through the Spine Research Institute of San Diego (SRISD).  This certification includes training with Dr Arthur Croft, the foremost published expert in CAD and MTBI type injuries in North America.

 Dr. Sorum has been practicing in the Puget Sound since 1999. He is a graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Sorum is a nationally recognized strength and conditioning specialist, with over 20 years of experience as a personal trainer, and has expertise in nutritional supplementation.

The first thing you will notice about our office is that we are different than other chiropractic offices. We provide state-of-the-art research based care; you will see that our office is set up with proprioceptive exercise stations, oxygen absorption meters, pre and post treatment areas specifically designed to help you recover faster and make the treatment last longer.
